- Elections of the Board Are Done!
The Election of Officers for Bears San Diego has been completed with a quorum, and we are grateful to everyone who was able to get their vote in this year.
This year, we implemented a digital option using the Membership Chairs’ Adobe Acrobat account to send ballots directly to dues-paying members who were unable to attend the vote in person, and it was crucial to confirming quorum. With more time and clarity, we plan to expand this to include future options.Serving Bears San Diego for the term of 2026 through 2027 we have the following individuals.

This year, we will revisit the organization’s By-Laws to better align them with today’s fast-paced, demanding, and frankly stressful environment. Among the important matters to deliberate are the reclarification of the Board Titles. For example, Public and Social relations will now answer directly to the Vice President as a committee structure, as will the Web Advisor.
During the special board meeting held last Saturday, April 11th, the members discussed expectations and obstacles in not only communication but also in representation. We’ve identified this as important to address concerns raised before the board by one of our current committees and further attract new individuals to the Board in the future.

Join us Sunday, February 15th, for our annual Chili Cookoff Contest! Come on out and have some fantastic grub, choosing from a variety of chili styles and heat. Currently at 7! contestants this year. You’ll find us at the Loft, running from 2 PM to 5 PM, or we run out of chili, of course. Bring your appetite, grab a beverage from the bar, and enjoy yourself! Always a great time and everyone who joins in the feast gets a vote.
